PortTree v1.0.0 — See Through Every Open Port. Instantly.

A zero-dependency CLI socket scanner and process tree resolver that unmasks Docker containers, links active Git branches, diagnoses Windows NAT exclusions, and kills zombie worker trees in one command.

Key Capabilities:

  • Process Tree Resolver: Maps listening sockets to complete parent-child hierarchies, CWDs, and active Git branches.
  • Docker Proxy Unmasker: Unmasks opaque \docker-proxy\ processes to actual container names, compose projects, and service labels.
  • Windows NAT Exclusion Diagnoser: Detects when ports are locked by Hyper-V / WinNAT dynamic excluded port ranges without listening PIDs.
  • 1-Command Tree Killer: \porttree free \ gracefully terminates orchestrator and child workers (SIGTERM with timeout, then SIGKILL).
  • Pre-Flight Stack Checker: Scans \docker-compose.yml, \package.json, and .env\ before service startup to flag socket collisions.
  • GitHub Marketplace Action: Drop-in \uses: umutgungorr/porttree@v1\ for CI port collision checks.
