Added

  • Bun 1.4+ is a tested runtime for @xbbg/core. CI now runs the offline suite under Bun against the real native addon on Linux, Windows, and macOS, and installs the packed packages with bun add before loading them, so the loader is checked against Bun's node_modules layout. @xbbg/langgraph still targets Node.js 24+.

Changed

  • The Python LangGraph adapter requires xbbg 1.5.0 or newer. py-xbbg-langgraph now declares xbbg>=1.5.0,<2, the first release with the resolve_venues() and auction_snapshot() recipes behind its xbbg_resolve_venues and xbbg_auction_snapshot tools.
  • Shorter npm package pages. The @xbbg/core and @xbbg/langgraph READMEs now follow the GitHub README: banner, badges, why, install, quickstart, and highlights. Their detailed behavior notes moved to js-xbbg/REFERENCE.md and js-xbbg-langgraph/REFERENCE.md.

Fixed

  • A native extension from another build no longer loads silently. xbbg._core.__version__ is now stamped at build time with the exact version of the xbbg distribution being built (a development build's version names its commit), and importing xbbg._core, directly or through any xbbg API, raises ImportError when an installed package's extension was built for a different version, for example after an interrupted upgrade or pip and conda installing over each other. In a source checkout, where an editable install keeps the extension last compiled into the tree while git pull updates the Python sources, xbbg compares the extension's build commit with the checkout's HEAD and emits a RuntimeWarning to rerun pixi run install when they differ. xbbg.ext still falls back when the extension is missing, but an outdated extension that lacks a helper now raises its ImportError instead of being replaced by "requires xbbg._core native helpers" placeholders. _core.version() still reports the Rust crate version.
  • A missing native extension is reported as missing. The xbbg._core type stub moved from xbbg/_core/__init__.pyi to xbbg/_core.pyi. The stub directory let xbbg._core import as an empty namespace package when the binary was absent or built for another Python, so the failure surfaced later as an AttributeError; it now raises ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'xbbg._core'.
