Highlights since the project's first tagged source (v0.2.0)

• New brand: new logo across the installer, app icon, window title bars, and tray
• Captions fixes: transcription now uses the companion sidecar audio; whisper model download hardened against races and truncation
• Export fixes: CUDA is no longer hard-required for static-layout exports; audio streaming, timeouts, watchdogs, and cancel handling overhauled
• Main-process security remediation: read/exec allowlist poisoning, media-server rebinding, and extension consent gaps closed (see docs/research/ for the full disposition)
• Windows native fixes: window-bounds bridge, mixed-DPI monitor selection, and stale-display handling
• Packaging fix: ffmpeg-static binary is now correctly bundled (npm 12 allowScripts)

Known limitations of this build

• Built offline without the whisper compilation toolchain, so captions model transcription may be unavailable — CI-built installers for this tag include it
• Installers are not code-signed yet (Windows SmartScreen will warn — choose "More info → Run anyway"); signing arrives with the release-certificate work tracked in RELEASING.md
