A new look for the whole app, a new icon, and an S3 explorer that plays your GIFs and videos.

New design

• Every screen has been redrawn. Cards, buttons and the bottom bar are softer and easier to read, and the bar now floats over your content.
• Your accent color tints the whole app, backgrounds included, in light, dark and true black. Material You picks up the same style from your wallpaper.
• Headings use Inter Tight. Links, sizes and times stay in JetBrains Mono so they're easy to scan.
• The Appearance screen has a live preview, and the editor, upload screen and share card are cleaner.

New icon

• A new logo and app icon, with a themed version for Android 13 and newer.
• Upload notifications show the XerahS mark in the status bar.

S3 explorer

• GIFs animate in the preview.
• Videos (mp4, webm, mkv, mov, m4v, 3gp) play right in the preview with play, pause and seek. Only the one on screen plays, and it pauses when you leave the app.
• Previews use presigned links, so long videos keep streaming.
• Downloads stream to storage instead of loading into memory, and a failed download no longer leaves a broken file behind.
• Fixed signing for S3-compatible servers on a custom port, like MinIO, and for file names with accents or emoji.

Other changes

• Delete from host is now on the share card too, for hosts that support it.
• Open-source licenses for the bundled fonts are under Settings, Updates.
• Dark text on the lock screen is readable again.

XerahS 0.6.0

A big step toward feature parity with ShareX and XerahS on the desktop: more ways to upload, more control over what happens after, and new editing tools.

Uploading

• Import ShareX .sxcu custom uploaders in full, including {json:}, {regex:}, {xml:} and {inputbox:}. Open a .sxcu from your file manager, paste one, or pick it from Settings. Your old Custom HTTP setup carries over on its own.
• Import encrypted .xsdc destination configs from XerahS on the desktop.
• Share any file into the app, not just images. PDFs, text and other files skip the editor and only show destinations that accept them.
• HEIC photos are converted to PNG before upload, and GIFs keep their animation.
• New destinations: Nextcloud, Immich and GitHub Gist.
• Built-in presets for XBackBone, Pastebin and Bitly. A Bitly profile can replace is.gd as the link shortener.

After uploading

• Choose what happens after each upload, per profile or for everything: copy the link, shorten it, open the share sheet, or open it in the browser.
• Delete uploads from S3, FTP, SFTP and Nextcloud straight from the timeline. Custom uploaders open their deletion page.
• Backups are now encrypted with a passphrase and include your upload profiles.

Editor

• Four new tools: speech balloon, sticker, smart eraser and highlighter pen.
• An Effects panel: brightness, contrast, saturation, grayscale, sepia, invert, border, drop shadow, rounded corners and a text watermark.

Tools

A new Tools tab with batch resize, convert and watermark, a hash checker, a QR code reader and a colour picker.

Fixes

• Files shared before finishing first-time setup are no longer lost.
• The Quick Settings tile no longer crashes on Android 13 and older.
• Upload errors now show the real reason, with a button to copy it.
• Release builds no longer write login headers to the system log.

XerahS 0.4.0

A full interface redesign plus a set of new power features.

New look

A dark-first interface with a single accent color you can change, and links shown in a monospace font so they are easy to read. Home now opens to your recent shares as a timeline, with copy and re-share right from the list.

New features

• The image editor was rebuilt around the canvas and now has 12 tools, including line, highlight, pixelate, spotlight, and a magnifier loupe.
• On-device text recognition (OCR) from the editor, with copy and share.
• QR codes and one-tap link shortening on the share screen.
• Import ShareX .sxcu uploader files into the Custom HTTP destination.
• A theme editor with accent presets and a custom color picker. Any accent you pick is run through a contrast check so text stays readable in light and dark.
• A Quick Settings tile and a long-press app shortcut to start a share from anywhere.

• The accent color now applies on every change, not just the first.
• The True black and Material You toggles now work as expected.
• Removed a navigation dead-end where pressing back could leave you on a blank screen, and locked the app to portrait.
