Scrivener is a serialization and deserialization library to compress data over the wire.

It's pretty much the successor to my older library ByteWorks, it's:

• considerably more performant
• easier to write formats for
• easier to understand the internal code
• made for the new solver, offering much better types
• easier to write and read values in succession, due to using a cursor approach
