New Features
- Persistent task order — Your manual drag order now survives file edits, renames, folder moves and Obsidian restarts. Reindexing no longer throws it away and falls back to file-scan order.
- Completion handled by the Tasks plugin — Check off a task in the panel and the Tasks plugin takes it from there: repeating tasks get their next occurrence, and ✅ done dates follow the Tasks plugin's rules.
- Completed tasks last one session — They stay in the panel until you reload, then clear out. Check off a repeating task and it hides at once.
- Tasks plugin fields on the row and in the popover — Priority, recurrence, scheduled/start/created/cancelled/done dates and on-completion actions show as badges on the task row and as rows in the hover popover. A new "Tasks plugin integration" settings section lets you pick which priority levels earn a badge, whether 🔁 marks repeating tasks, and whether the popover lists these fields at all.
- Overdue and misfiled flags — Two badges replace the old !: ❢ marks a task past its due date, ⚑ points to a bucket that suits its due date better. Hover a dated task and the popover opens with a due line, like "Due in 3 days (Fri, Aug 7)" or "❢ Due Thu, Jul 23 (14 days overdue)". Completed tasks and To Review get neither badge.
- Ribbon icon — Open the GTD panel straight from Obsidian's ribbon.
- Issue templates — File a bug report or feature request from a template that collects the details up front.
Fixes
- Drag a task into another bucket and it lands where you dropped it. It used to land somewhere else.
- Subtasks stay next to their parent inside a bucket. Once they drifted apart, the parent could only climb one slot per drag.
- Reloading or updating the plugin no longer opens a second GTD panel.
- Buckets roll over at midnight. You used to see yesterday's buckets until you edited a task.
- Tasks plugin metadata no longer leaks into the task title. One scan catches every token.
- On Obsidian 1.13+, the settings page stacks its rows again instead of squeezing them into columns.
- Tooltips stay hidden while you drag. They used to pop up on whichever row slid under the cursor, and got caught in the drag image.
- The dismiss-completed broom disappears when completed tasks already hide on their own, leaving it nothing to dismiss.
- The README now says the plugin opens a GitHub link, and the plugin asks before opening it. That link is how you file bugs and feature requests.
Internal
- Reworked release bookkeeping, test typechecking and changelog handling.
