CrashSight Pro v0.1.1 (early preview)
Pre-releaseCrashSight Pro v0.1.1 (early preview)
Phase 2: eight new diagnostic engines, bringing the total to 10. Still an early preview -
see the README roadmap for what's still
planned (BSOD/minidump analysis, Reliability Monitor, OBS/SplitCam, AI root-cause ranking,
and more).
New in this release
- GPU - driver age, plus live usage via the built-in Windows "GPU Engine" performance
counters (no vendor SDK needed). - Memory - physical/commit pressure, plus a fast-process-growth check that flags likely
memory leaks. - Storage - SMART failure prediction, drive wear/temperature/error counters, and
free-space checks across every fixed drive. - Drivers - unsigned and 5+ year old driver detection, plus devices currently in a
Device Manager error state with plain-English explanations. - Security - Windows Defender, firewall (all three network profiles), Secure Boot, TPM,
BitLocker (every fixed volume), Memory Integrity/HVCI, and UAC. - Battery - live charge% and wear (design vs. full-charge capacity); reports cleanly as
"not applicable" on desktops instead of faking a result. - Network - adapter status, IPv4/IPv6, gateway and DNS configuration, plus
latency/packet-loss/DNS-resolution checks. - Audio - audio device presence and error/disabled state.
Live dashboard sparklines now work for every engine with live data (GPU, Memory, Battery,
Network), not just CPU.
Known limitations (see README for details)
GPU VRAM capacity isn't checked (Win32_VideoController.AdapterRAM is a documented-buggy
32-bit field for 4GB+ cards - a false "over 100% VRAM used" finding was caught and removed
during testing rather than shipped). WiFi signal/channel, Windows Hello enrollment, and live
audio buffer/dropout monitoring aren't implemented yet.
