CL 5.1
What's new in 5.1.0
IMPORTANT: After release, we identified issues with universal accessibility controls that could not be addressed immediately. Certain features beyond v5.0.2 that could not wait for a fix were released in an alternative series, v5.0.3.x. If upgrading from v5.0.2, the recommendation is to either adopt v5.0.3.x or wait until a successor to v5.1.0 is released, which will include new features from both v5.1.0 and v5.0.3.x, as well as bug fixes.
CL 5.1.0 is a minor release focused on accessibility controls and new blocks.
- Adds an Abstract block, useful for hero-like presentations when sufficient artwork isn't available. Choose from four animation styles and unlimited colorways.
- Adds a Breakout block, useful for creating a section on a page differentiated by a full-width light grey background. Breakouts support commonly nested blocks like headings, paragraphs, and lists, as well as other components like Cards and Metrics.
- Adds universal accessibility controls for component-specific or site-wide user control of motion and contrast. Universal accessibility controls are supported by Heroes, Cards, and Abstracts.
- Depricates the
headlineandsubheadHero attributes in favor oftitleandbody, respectively. Backward compatibility is retained. - Removes the animation option for static Heroes
- Fixes certain spacing and padding issues with Cards
- Updates development tools
