1.0.0

The first release of szt, short for sizetree: see what's taking up your disk.

brew install urtti/szt/szt
szt ~

• A tree of where the space went: biggest first, every folder with the total of everything inside it, opening up exactly where the bytes are and sized to fit your terminal.
• Fast: one getattrlistbulk call per folder and one thread per performance core, up to 8. 667,000 files in 2.4 seconds on a Mac Studio, where du takes 17.
• Counts space on disk, like du: compressed apps, sparse disk images and cloud files that aren't downloaded count only what they occupy. Hard links count once, symlinks are never followed, and iCloud Drive or Dropbox never download anything.
• Universal binary for Apple silicon and Intel Macs, macOS 15 or later.
