English

This update improves handoffs and continuation in multi-agent workflows. Companions can build on previous context and results to refine or rework an assignment, share relevant materials, and communicate directly with one another, reducing repeated explanations. Execution details now distinguish task requirements, delivery evidence, and review outcomes.

It also fixes issues with companion identity, coordination waits, and task completion feedback, while improving @mention routing and independent scheduling, access to previous reports, result actions, and usage display.

Lexora 0.16.0

    新增独立的 Office 插件,在 Lexora 内集中处理 DOCX、XLSX/CSV、PPTX 与 PDF:

    • 统一文档库:支持新建、导入、搜索、类型筛选、收藏、重命名、复制、版本恢复与回收站管理;
    • 编辑与保存:提供各格式对应的编辑界面,修改自动保存到文档库,也可手动保存、导出或另存副本。导入创建独立副本,不会覆盖原文件;
    • 引用给伙伴处理:选中文字、单元格或演示对象后,可以将内容引用到任务中,由当前主 Agent 结合 Office 技能与工具读取、修改支持的内容,并导出为任务产物,无需另开一套 AI 对话;
    • 配套插件能力:补齐插件附带技能、受控私有文件、前台剪贴板,以及 WebAssembly 和 Worker 支持,为 Office 编辑器与后续文档类插件提供运行基础。

English

This release focuses on Lexora Office and document workflows. Alongside the Office plugin, we added file-opening preferences, content references, bundled skills, clipboard access, and private document storage—connecting document editing, conversations, and AI-generated deliverables so companions can work with documents rather than only discuss them.

This version also introduces a Windows ZIP distribution, customizable companion stickers and notification sounds, plus improvements to reading position, companion collaboration, and the built-in browser.

📌 Usage Notes

  • Office requires a separate installation: To work with documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDFs, install Lexora Office from the Plugin Marketplace (requires Lexora 0.16.0 or later).
  • Office format compatibility: Complex layouts, macros, digital signatures, and some advanced spreadsheet features have limitations. Full Microsoft Office fidelity is not guaranteed; review important files after exporting.

✨ Added

  • 📝 Lexora Office: Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations & PDF:
    A separate Office plugin brings DOCX, XLSX/CSV, PPTX, and PDF workflows into Lexora:

    • Unified document library: Create, import, search, filter, favorite, rename, duplicate, restore versions, and manage deleted files;
    • Editing and saving: Format-specific editors automatically save changes to the library, with manual saving, export, and duplicate-copy options. Importing creates a separate copy without overwriting the source file;
    • Work with your companion: Reference selected text, cells, or presentation objects in a task. The current main agent can use Office skills and tools to read and modify supported content, then export task artifacts—without a separate AI conversation;
    • Supporting plugin capabilities: Added bundled skills, controlled private files, foreground clipboard access, WebAssembly, and Workers to support Office editors and future document plugins.
  • 📂 File-Type Opening Preferences by @shanyuhai123:
    Configure inline previews and standalone opening separately under Settings → Open with. Plugin installation can also request file associations, allowing editors such as Office to integrate with everyday file operations. If a plugin becomes unavailable, Lexora falls back to built-in handling rather than silently selecting another third-party plugin.

  • 🪟 Windows ZIP Distribution by @shanyuhai123:
    Added x64 and ARM64 ZIP packages. Extract and launch the main application without installing it. The ZIP edition uses the existing local data location; it is not a cross-machine portable-data mode, and command sandboxing still requires its separate system component. To update, extract the new version, exit the old one, and launch the new application. Your data location remains unchanged.

  • 🐳 Customizable Companion Stickers by @shanyuhai123:
    Switch the companion illustration beside the new-task composer between Lexora, the new Whale Girl sticker, or your own PNG, JPEG, WebP, or GIF image.

  • 🔔 Custom Notification Sounds by @lexora-agent, @shanyuhai123:
    Choose system sounds, built-in tones, or imported MP3/WAV audio under Settings → Notifications, with previews, volume controls, and a test notification. Imported sounds support up to 10 seconds and 5 MiB. Built-in and custom tones are played by the application and may not be silenced by system Do Not Disturb mode.

⚡ Improved

  • 📎 References Across Split Panes, New Tasks & Clipboard by @shanyuhai123:
    Send references from files, webpages, artifacts, or plugin views to an open conversation pane, create a new task, or copy them for later pasting. References are added to the destination draft without automatically sending or replacing existing input. Supported references can also navigate back to their source.

  • 📚 On-Demand Reading for Long References & Input Materials by @shanyuhai123:
    Increased reference capacity and refined how long text and text attachments reach the model. Short content is provided directly; longer materials include a preview and can be read from their complete snapshots as needed, reducing upfront context consumption. Saved reference text remains available even when its source cannot currently be located.

  • 🖱️ Consistent File Links & Context Actions by @shanyuhai123:
    File links in conversation responses now share the workbench’s opening logic, including opening-provider selection and existing permission checks. Files mentioned by a companion can move more smoothly into built-in previews or editors such as Office.

  • 🛡️ Clearer Plugin Installation & Permission Review by @shanyuhai123:
    Grouped permissions by capabilities such as files, folders, clipboard, references, models, and network access. Updates highlight newly requested permissions, alongside clearer file associations, included skills, and dependencies. Domain-permission tables are also easier to inspect and adjust.

  • 💬 Collapsible Long Messages & Theme-Aware Provider Icons by @QAyong:
    Long user messages initially show five lines and can be expanded or collapsed. Provider lists and model selectors now include icons adapted to light and dark themes for easier recognition.

🛠️ Fixed

  • 🤝 Companion Session Continuity & Execution History by @shanyuhai123:
    Fixed delegated companions failing to resume their previous sessions. Improved execution details and historical process rendering so intermediate updates are not mistaken for final answers.

  • 📖 Reading Position After Switching Tasks by @shanyuhai123:
    Fixed incorrect reading-position restoration when switching tasks and refined scrolling during streamed responses, reducing unexpected jumps or being pulled back to the bottom.

  • 🌐 Browser Loading Feedback & Retry by @shanyuhai123:
    Added loading feedback and error pages distinguishing certificate failures, blocked access, and unexpected page termination. Failed pages can be retried directly without closing and reopening their tabs.

  • 🪟 Windows Sandbox Directory Access by @shanyuhai123:
    Fixed authorized directories remaining inaccessible because their parent directories lacked traversal permissions. Refined the interaction between grants and deny rules without broadening file access.

  • 🐚 Shell Execution Mode Consistency by @lexora-agent:
    Fixed discrepancies between the command tool’s declared execution boundary and its actual mode. Sandbox and full-access execution are now described distinctly, with interpreter selection aligned to command execution.
