The Folklore desktop app — download, open, and click Install everything.
It wires the folklore memory server into every AI coding tool on your
machine (Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Zed, opencode,
Roo) and starts the local daemon. No terminal.

  • macOS: .dmg (universal — Apple silicon + Intel)
  • Windows: .msi / setup .exe
  • Linux: .AppImage / .deb

Unsigned for now — on first open, allow it in your OS security settings.

folklore v5.0.1

macOS menubar app — download folklore-macos.zip, unzip, drag to Applications.

The app is a companion to the CLI, so install that first:

npm install -g @usefolklore/folklore

This build is not notarized (no Apple Developer ID yet). On first
open macOS will block it — allow it under
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
