Is it possible to customize the id of the memos, I want to look good when I share them, the current ids are too complicated

Those are base-57 uuids 2^128 value space. We can let admins adjust the id length with regard to their use case. We should then return the appropriate error message when a collision occurs for the admin gets to know the need for increasing id length. If you find it suitable @johnnyjoygh I will implement the feature. Remember that we cannot use native database functions to generate random ids as sqlite does not support them.

I think it would be nice to adjust the id length, but it would also be nice to be able to customize the id individually, so that I can share a nice url with others, or add an alias, for the same purpose

Hmm. That's not how ids generally work. Maybe a url shortener is your go to. We can also implement a shortener in memos for that reason.
