v0.5.0
Guideline-flavored Tetris clone built with Rust + Bevy.
How to run: download the archive for your platform, extract it,
and run the bevytris binary. Keep the bundled assets/ folder
next to the executable.
- Solo modes: Marathon, Sprint (40-line race, with a personal best) and ZEN —
endless and unlosable, where gravity never rises, topping out just wipes the
field, and every line ever cleared feeds a lifetime ZEN level - Two 30-stage VS CPU campaigns (first-to-n rounds, S-D grades): the classic ladder
and ZONE BATTLE, whose time-stop super move charges by cancelling garbage - CUSTOM MATCH: pick the opponent (CPU or a second player on the same keyboard),
CPU level & style, first-to-N, zone, margin time, gravity, hold on/off,
preview count, garbage messiness, attack handicaps and starting garbage - Local two-player on one keyboard, with its own key set for player 2 (or the
second gamepad) — every custom rule applies to both boards - Six characters — MINT, ROSA, AMBER, VIO, COBALT and ASH. Each stands behind
their own board, calls the line count out loud, cuts in on a tetris, a
T-spin, a perfect clear or a garbage cancel, and has a pose for winning and
one for losing. Original designs; the voices are synthesized with VOICEVOX
and each pack credits the voice it borrowed, on screen in the picker - Drop a folder into
assets/characters/to add your own — art and voice
files, no code. Seeassets/characters/README.md - CPU opponents plan like MisaMino / Cold Clear: beam search with soft-drop tucks,
SRS spins and self-built T-spin doubles at higher stages - SRS, 7-bag, hold, T-spins, B2B, combos, guideline scoring, margin time
- Gamepad support with rebindable buttons, rebindable keys, DAS/ARR/SDF tuning,
VSync & fullscreen (F11) - English / Japanese UI, auto-detected from the OS (switchable in settings)
- HDR bloom, particles, shockwaves, board inertia, Misaki pixel font
- Chord blocks: the melody rests and all three pulse channels hold one
voicing between them, held or strummed string-by-string. Solo and zen
build their pieces around these; versus visits them twice - Seven melody instruments — pluck, soft, sustain, piano, guitar, marimba,
brass — one rolled per piece, so two pieces on a preset do not arrive
with the same voice on the tune - No music files. A nine-voice NES-style synthesizer and an algorithmic
composer write the BGM live: bright and unhurried in solo, fast and minor
in versus, with the mode darkening and the drums thickening as the stack
climbs. Every piece rolls its own key, tempo, time signature (4/4, and
sometimes 3/4 or 6/8) and drum kit, ends with a final chorus a whole tone
up, and comes home through an outro so it loops - MUSIC room: pick a seed and a preset and listen, with the piano roll filling
the screen. Set BEVYTRIS_MUSIC_SEED to replay a session note for note - SFX from CC0 samples plus procedurally synthesized bells and booms
Full third-party credits in assets/CREDITS.md. The character voices are
VOICEVOX and carry their own attribution terms — see that file before
reusing anything from assets/characters/.
