Settings, keys and caches stay in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Launchme. Full history: changelog.
Fixes
- With Gap between outline and artwork set to Artwork pulled inward (Settings → Interface), the focused landscape
tile showed its picture with bands at the sides; it fills the width now. - A poster a little narrower than its frame (List+'s large poster, Coverflow's cases) showed black bands at
the sides; it fills the frame now, losing a sliver at the top and bottom. A square cover standing in for a
poster still shows whole, over a dimmed fill of itself. The steelbook finish follows the same crop.

New
- Videos in more places (Settings → Media & data → Background videos): after the usual delay on a
game, its video plays in List+'s picture, in Cinematic's focused landscape tile (instead of behind the
whole screen) and, in the desktop window, in the details pane's picture. - Shelf: spines with the name (Library → Shelf): the cases' left spines are black with the game's
name printed along them, its size fitted to the spine. View options (Left in the first column, or the
views button) add Platform on the spine (on by default: a band in the console's or store's colour with
the platform's logo at the top of the spine) and Grey cases at the sides (on by default; off keeps
every case in colour). - Shelf: the facts line stays: under the title the platform's badge, then year · developer ·
playtime, all appearing together once the game's details are in.
Fixes
- The first move on a home screen (PSfive and the other layouts with the grow tile entrance, Settings → Interface → Tile entrance) made the row
jump instead of gliding when it came while the tiles were still growing in. - Shelf: the platform under the title showed for a moment and then disappeared.
Changes
- Landscape tiles fill their width (Grid's landscape tiles, Cinematic, Overview): a narrower picture
loses some of its top and bottom instead of showing empty bands at the sides. - Shelf cases are nearly square and their artwork has square corners.
- Long names in the List and Detailed views fade out at the right instead of ending with an
ellipsis; the focused one glides to its end and back.

New
- Uninstall in every game menu (TV mode: the game's menu, PSfive's "…" included, and
Details → "…"; the desktop window: right click and the pane's "…"): Uninstall is the last item, in red,
for installed games Launchme knows how to remove. Steam games open Steam's own dialog. GOG games are
removed silently by their own uninstaller after Launchme asks (Uninstall / Open game folder /
Cancel; Windows asks for permission when the game needs it); a toast says when it is done. EA, Ubisoft,
Battle.net, Amazon and other installers run the uninstaller they registered in Windows, Xbox games open
Windows' Apps settings, games without one open their store's client. Never shown while the game runs.
Fixes
- Details → "…" in TV mode drew fewer rows than it had: Launch options and Uninstall were missing
from the menu although the pad could reach them. - Long plugin descriptions ran into their tags (Settings → Plugins): the row now grows to hold up to three
lines above the tags. - Long paths in Settings → Library → DRM-free → Found games ran out of their thin rows (TV mode and the
desktop window): they end with an ellipsis on one line.
Changes
- Controllers with Bluetooth off: paired Bluetooth pads stay in Settings → Controllers and the
Controllers screen, greyed, with "Bluetooth · off"; their Settings button opens Windows' Bluetooth
settings. Before, they disappeared until Bluetooth was switched on again.

New
- Updates from GitHub (Settings → System → Updates; Check for updates on by default): every few hours
Launchme asks GitHub for a newer release (never while a game runs) and tells you once, pointing to
Settings → System. Its row there, and in the desktop window an icon on the top bar, updates with one
click: the package is downloaded next tolaunchme.exe, its SHA-256 checked, the files swapped in
(your own plugins and settings stay) and Launchme restarts. A game in progress, a damaged package or a
version that will not start leave everything as it was. Check now asks at once. - What's new: the first start after an update shows the new version's changes once (scroll with the
arrows, the stick or the wheel; OK, Enter, A or B closes it). - Achievement card (Details → Achievements, TV mode and the desktop window): Enter/A or a click on an
achievement opens its card with a larger icon, its name, the whole description, when it was earned and
its rarity (a word, the share of players and a bar). Left/Right show the neighbours; Back, Esc, B or a
click beside it return to the list.
Changes
- Installing shows its progress on the button: Details, the library's detailed views and the desktop
window's Details show the phase and percent with a bar (or a moving segment while the size is not
known) instead of "Downloading in Steam", for GOG, Epic and Battle.net installs too.

New
- Desktop window: achievements from the details pane — the pane's Achievements number opens Details on
the game's achievements list (Back returns to Details). Hovering it highlights the number, shows a chevron
and the hint Show achievements. Steam games and games the Achievements plugin knows (GOG, Epic, emulated);
a game without achievements ("—") has nothing to click.

Fixes
- Achievements outside Steam in the desktop window: the details pane never asked the Achievements plugin,
so GOG, Epic and emulated games showed "—" until their Details were opened. The pane now asks for the
selected game once the selection rests; scrolling on drops the question for the game left behind. - RetroAchievements follows the documented web API (api-docs.retroachievements.org):
- Authenticated with the Web API key alone; the game is found in the console's game list
(API_GetGameList, with hashes), cached for a week as the API asks, instead of the emulators'
undocumented hash lookup. - The console comes from the ROM's ES-DE / EmuDeck system folder first (
roms\psx,roms\ps2,roms\gc…),
then the platform and the extension; a zipped ROM by the file inside. - Disc games (PlayStation, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Saturn, Dreamcast…) are matched by title, ignoring dump
tags such as "(Europe)" or "[Disc 1]" and skipping RetroAchievements' hacks and subsets. - Systems RetroAchievements has no achievements for (Switch, Wii U, Wii, PS3, PS4…) are never looked up.
- Authenticated with the Web API key alone; the game is found in the console's game list
Changes
- Desktop window: narrow sidebar shows no collections: each was the same folder icon. They are back when
the sidebar is wide. - The Achievements plugin is version 1.0.1; Launchme upgrades the installed copy on its next start.

New
- Achievements for games outside Steam (the bundled Achievements plugin, on by default; Settings →
Plugins). Details shows the achievements card and Szczegóły → Osiągnięcia the list, with icons, unlock
dates and players' shares, the same as for Steam games; the counts also reach the library previews and
the desktop pane.- GOG and Epic Games: with the account connected in Settings → Library. The plugin never sees
the account's token: Launchme makes the store request with it and hands back only the answer. - RetroAchievements for emulated games: the plugin's RetroAchievements: user name and Web API
key settings (retroachievements.org/settings). The game is found by its ROM's hash (cartridge
systems, zipped ROMs too), else by its title. - RPCS3 and shadPS4 trophies from the emulators' own files: set RPCS3: emulator folder or
shadPS4: emulator folder. - Its sources follow SuccessStory by Lacro59 (MIT); the notice ships in
plugin-packages/licenses/successstory.txt.
- GOG and Epic Games: with the account connected in Settings → Library. The plugin never sees
- Desktop window: narrow sidebar — the new button left of the logo folds the sidebar to its icons
(no group headings, the logo's symbol alone) and back, animated; hovering an icon names its section.
The grid gets the room. - Desktop window: wider or narrower details pane — drag its left edge (the pointer turns into ↔); the
grid shows fewer or more columns. Double-click the edge for the default width. Both are remembered.
Changes
- Plugin SDK: a new contribution kind and method
achievements, with store requests the host makes for
the plugin with a signed-in GOG or Epic account (docs/plugins/API.md).

New
- Where the companions live (Settings → Assistant → Where they live; by default each stays in her own city).
The companions live in Europe and Tokyo and sleep at night by their own clocks, so players in other time
zones often found them asleep. Now they can move:- Shared city: one of 27 cities from Honolulu to Auckland (Los Angeles, Vancouver, Denver, Mexico City,
Chicago, Toronto, New York, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Reykjavík, Lisbon, London, Paris, Berlin, Warsaw,
Kraków, Istanbul, Dubai, Mumbai, Bangkok, Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Sydney, …) for all of them. - City: : the chosen companion's own city over the shared one, or Her own city to keep her home.
Its description shows her local time there and whether she is asleep. - The city's time zone with its daylight saving (Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand) sets her
clock: when she sleeps, the time in her prompt and the real weather there. Her neighbourhood, street and
flat are not written anywhere: the model picks them and keeps to them.

Fixes
-
Adjust crop in the desktop window: Automatic and Save crop did nothing when clicked (the cover and
buttons were drawn away from where the mouse found them), and the editor did not fit its dialog. The cover
and its buttons are now a smaller group centred in the dialog, and both buttons work (Fixes #3). -
PSfive's clock was cut off for 12-hour times such as 12:00 PM; its box now fits them (Fixes #3).
-
Artwork pulled inward (Interface → Focused cover → Gap between outline and artwork): on square tiles (search results, shelves, the
library grid) the focused cover now shrinks into its outline and the previous one grows back smoothly,
as on posters, instead of jumping in one frame. -
Change artwork → Source (emulated games, Tryb TV) could not be reached with a pad: the way down the
rail passed the Disc type, which has no source choice and hid the button.
Changes
- Change artwork → Source moved next to the search field as a dropdown (SteamGridDB, ScreenScraper,
ES-DE): Right from the field reaches it, A opens the list, A picks, B closes it. dst=in a companion'scharacter.txtalso takesauandnz(southern-hemisphere summer time).

New
- Tarot (Settings → System → Features → Tarot — a reading of the cards, off by default): a short card
reading that ends with up to three games.Ton the home screen, the pad's View / Create button or the card
icon in the desktop window's top bar opens it.- The first card always asks whether to buy something new on Steam or play what you already own; then 4–7
more questions, drawn at random: genre, era, played or not, length, mood, company, setting, art style,
fame or a hidden gem, price (Steam) and whether the game should be installed (library). - Each answer is a tarot card with its arcana numeral, a drawn symbol, its name and meaning. The cards are
dealt from the deck, turn face up, the chosen one rises and the others fall away; at the end up to three
cards turn over to show the games' posters (Destiny, Temptation, The Wild Card). - Library readings use what the game index knows about your games (genres, tags, release year, reviews,
length, play time). Steam readings ask Steam's public store search, filtered by the genre and price you
picked, and leave out games you own; Enter opens the game's details or its store page. - Keyboard, pad and mouse; Backspace / B takes the last card back.
- The first card always asks whether to buy something new on Steam or play what you already own; then 4–7
Changes
- Game knowledge fills in quietly: after its first 240 lookups of a session the game index keeps going,
one lookup every 15 seconds, until the whole library is described (it used to stop until the next start). - Game lengths in the background: with the HowLongToBeat plugin on, owned games get their completion times
one at a time (every 12 seconds at most, installed and recently played games first, never while a game
runs), without opening Details. A run of lookups without results pauses it for ten minutes. - Tarot's Steam searches are kept for 30 minutes (and an older copy is used when Steam can't be reached).

Install
- Download

launchme\launchme.exe. No installer and no Visual C++ Redistributable are needed.
Settings, keys and caches stay in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Launchme. Full history: changelog.
New
- Steam account switching (Settings → Library → Launching, on by default): Play on a game installed by another Steam account remembered on this PC closes Steam, makes it sign in to that account and then starts the game. No passwords are involved: the account needs to have been signed in once with Remember me. Games the signed-in account can play itself never switch.
- Steam installs in the launcher (Settings → Library → Launching, on by default): Install on a Steam game opens Launchme's own dialog, in TV mode and in the desktop window, listing your Steam library folders with their free space. Steam restarts in the tray and downloads the game into the chosen library; Steam's install window keeps Steam's own dialog.
Changes
- Flix: the unfolding card now grows to both sides, pushing the neighbouring tiles apart (the first tile in view grows to the right).
- Documentation is in English.
