Release Notes
This update has been a long time coming, and I appreciate everyone who tested all of the release candidates and reported bugs (there were many 😅). There's so much more that I want to do but at some point I had to cut a release. I hope you guys enjoy this one! These release notes are by no means complete, but I've highlighted what I could remember :)
New
- Xteink X4 Pro Support, including its frontlight, touchscreen, USB Drive mode, and a re-designed reader menu.
- Quick Actions: New pop-up modal that you can set 5 shortcuts to for easy access via any of the shortcut buttons. Set them in
Settings > Controls > Quick Actions - Power + Up button shortcut: The
Power + Upbutton combo can now be assigned to a shortcut. Get to it fromSettings > Controls > Power Button > Power + Up Combo - Up + Down button shortcut: On X4 Pro and Sticky, the
Up + Downbutton combo can be assigned to a shortcut. Get to it fromSettings > Controls > Side Buttons > Up + Down Combo. When touch is disabled, this always opens the reader menu. This is unavailable on X3/X4 devices due to how the buttons are wired. - Quick Lock: New
Quick Lockshortcut for locking the device without actually putting it to sleep. This disables all buttons (and the touchscreen) and must be unlocked with the same button shortcut. - Custom boot screens: choose a BMP from the File Browser, or put images in
/bootscreenor/.bootscreento rotate through them. You can now choose a custom sleep screen from any folder too. - New shortcuts:
Previous PageandNearby Position Synccan now be set as shortcuts.

- Fonts now display their installed point sizes next to their name (addresses #491)
- The boot-up splash screen has been removed. You will now wake directly to your last screen by default.

- Custom sleep-image folders load faster and rebuild correctly after file changes.
- Quick Resume no longer shows a blank page after EPUB next-chapter indexing (fixes #535).
- Large EPUBs with thousands of chapters should now finish indexing more reliably on X3/X4 without running out of memory.
...and many many more fixes. I'm sure I've left out some stuff.

If you experience any problems, please clear your caches before opening an issue. Start with the least invasive and work your way down to the most invasive if problems persist after each step.

Delete book cache) - From your SD card: Delete the individual
.crosspoint/epub_<hash>folder for the book giving you issues - Delete all reading cache (
Settings > System > Files & Cache > Clear Reading Cache) - From your SD card: Delete ALL
.crosspoint/epub_<hash>folders andrecent.jsonandstate.json - Back up your
global_stats.binand then delete the entire.crosspoint/folder
