v0.1.0 — first experimental release

This is the automatic re-jailbreak setup from my iPhone 6 / iOS 12.5.8 session, written up with the source changes and the failed attempts.

The download is an unsigned app overlay, not an installable, pre-signed jailbreak. Combine it locally with the original Amethyst v1.0.3 IPA using assemble-ipa.py, then sign the result with your own account. The assembler checks the original file's hash. No personal provisioning profile or signing certificate is included.

The Amethyst overlay was taken from the final local package, with the Apple signature and debug paths removed. Its executable instruction section matches that local package. The public build script was also exercised in a clean checkout. The source patches apply to the pinned upstream commits, and the assembler's offline tests pass.

The earlier phone test returned to a jailbroken state after a full reboot and normal unlock without manually opening the app. That is not a long-term success-rate test of this release. The signing/renewal work happened separately afterward.

Known limits:

  • Not untethered; a valid signature and first unlock are required.
  • Free-account signatures still expire; renewal needs a working jailbreak, Apple authentication, and connectivity.
  • Only one iPhone 6 / iOS 12.5.8 was tested.
  • The modified ReProvision component is supplied as source patches, not a ready-to-install binary.
  • No fresh second-device install or multi-week unattended test has been done.

Read the setup and recovery notes before trying it. Please keep Apple credentials, device IDs, and complete logs out of issues.
