Minor release: declarative source profiles. Binding a new evidence format to the ingest sink is now a JSON spec dropped into the tree, not an adapter written in Python.

  • A source profile can be authored as a JSON spec in src/vaara/attestation/profiles/. _declarative.py compiles each spec into the same SourceProfile the registry already holds, with no change to the hot path. A spec declares how to detect its format and which fields map onto the SEP-2828 evidence block, the established proof fields, and the honest missing gap report. It cannot fabricate a value the source did not establish: a signature or a back-link is computed, not copied, so those cases stay in Python by design. The contract is published in docs/source-profile-contract.md.
  • Two worked profiles ship with this release. slsa-provenance reads an SLSA v1 in-toto provenance statement, and c2pa-manifest reads a C2PA manifest. Both seal through vaara ingest with an honest gap report and no fabricated proof, so a software-supply-chain or content-provenance artifact becomes a source format rather than something to bind by hand.
  • The independent checker reads the same JSON specs and reproduces their output with zero Vaara import, so a declarative profile is not self-confirming. Conformance vectors for both new profiles materialize from the registry loop in tests/vectors/ingest_v0/ and tests/vectors/normalize_v0/.
