[1.12.0] - 2026-06-23

Minor release: the agent-decision profile and a public-key-verifiable conformance vector. The closest foreign format to a native signed decision record becomes a source format, and the recomputable vector offered on in-toto/attestation#554 ships.

  • New declarative agent-decision source profile: it recognizes an in-toto agent-decision/v0.1 predicate (the proposed predicate in in-toto/attestation#554) and maps it onto the SEP-2828 model. It is the closest foreign format to a native signed decision record, so it maps to the decision-attested plane, yet fills no SEP-2828 field on its own: the in-toto Statement's signature lives in the DSSE envelope (a separate signing event), args_hash is an argument commitment rather than a back-link to an attested request, and the predicate carries the decision but not the outcome. The honest gap is the report. args_state keeps the explicit-omission state first-class (present, args_redacted, args_unavailable, args_not_recorded), so a redacted call and an unrecorded call stay distinct claims.
  • New tests/vectors/agent_decision_v0/ conformance vector: that same statement sealed in a DSSE envelope under Ed25519, with a published verifying key. The independent checker imports no Vaara code and recomputes the DSSE pre-authentication encoding, verifies the signature from the public key, and reproduces the SEP-2828 mapping from the shipped profile spec. It is the recomputable {statement, expected-verdict} pair, anchored to the bytes rather than to any one producer.
