Added
vaara proxy-shell: wrap any shell so every command is governed.
Shell commands from Claude Code, Cursor, or any terminal AI hit the Vaara
pipeline — classified, scored, allowed or blocked, recorded in the trail.
Usage: exec vaara proxy-shell replaces your shell.
Auto-init on first use: the first vaara command silently discovers the
environment (running agents, MCP clients, shell, sensitive paths, known
tools), generates a default shadow-mode policy, and starts governing.
No commands to remember — install and it's ready.
Threshold presets for auto-init: vaara init --auto --mode strict selects
from eco (0.40/0.60), balanced (0.55/0.85), performance (0.70/0.92),
or strict (0.30/0.55) via the existing policy.modes system.
vaara.integrations.discovery: auto-discovery module that scans ps,
shell config, MCP client configs, and the filesystem to fingerprint the
governed environment.
Changed
vaara menu: rewritten to a flat list. No settings-depth tiers, no
Article 50 tunnel vision. Shows: status, shadow report, export, verify,
settings, updates. Every item delegates to the same CLI entry points.
Settings view in macOS app: two-column Grid layout. SETTINGS FOR, GATE,
PROTECTION, graph toggle, and UPDATES on the left; NOTIFY ON, SIGNAL
FADES, APPROVAL POPUP, GOVERN WHAT YOU CHOOSE, and APPROVALS FOLDER on
the right. Fits the 13" Air M3 screen at max HiDPI without vertical
scrolling.
Fixed
First-run no longer prints a "setup complete" message — silent auto-init
per the "one command and vamos" principle.
