Ressup-EQ 1.26.4

Choose a tag to compare

  • Fixed the broken Windows x64 VST3 that crashed the DAW when opening the editor.

Ressup-EQ 1.26.3 — Natural LU Match automation fix

Choose a tag to compare

Fixed LU Match automation in Natural mode so changes respect their sample offsets and produce consistent results across buffer sizes.

Ressup-EQ 1.26.2 — Adaptive Res Sup and curve response

Choose a tag to compare

Ressup-EQ 1.26.2 expands Res Sup capacity and makes its response follow the selected curve.

  • Adaptive control points per band: 512 with 1 active Res Sup band, 384 with 2–3, 256 with 4–6, 128 with 7–12 and 64 with 13–24. Density selects how many qualifying resonances are treated within that capacity.
  • Curve selection stays available with Res Sup enabled. The selected EQ shape also defines the detector sensitivity.
  • All Pass now has uniform sensitivity across the full frequency range. Bell, shelves, cuts, Notch, Band Pass and tilts each use their appropriate response, including cut slopes and tilt direction.
  • Switching curves immediately refreshes the detector candidates.

Ressup-EQ 1.25.0 — 64 resonances per band

Choose a tag to compare

Res Sup now processes up to 64 simultaneous resonances per band. Density selects the peak budget from 1 to 64; around 54% allows 35 peaks. The actual number follows the detected signal and Threshold, while Amount and Q control the correction.

  • Dense, closely spaced peaks remain eligible at fine FFT resolution.
  • Processing skips inactive filters and reuses Range-limiter calculations to reduce CPU work.
  • Local, Linear phase and cross-instance response curves include voices beyond the eighth.
  • Older saved projects and presets retain their previous one-to-eight peak budgets. Existing Density automation percentages must be rescaled by 7/63 to retain their previous budgets. Parameter IDs and positions are preserved.

Higher Density can increase CPU use when many resonances are active. Dense multi-band sessions need more processing headroom.

Ressup-EQ 1.24.0 — Persistent instance chains

Choose a tag to compare

Instance names and inter-instance chains now survive project reloads. Each band can use the DAW sidechain input or another named Ressup-EQ instance to trigger Dynamics and Res Sup.

  • The MAIN / named-instance selector is beside Instances; the duplicate controls above the parameter panel have been removed.
  • Each band's Details drawer offers External SC, MAIN and the other live instances.
  • Stereo Post audio is exchanged between instances, including across host processes. Mono VST3 external sidechain routing is fixed.
  • Names, identities, comparison selections and per-band instance sources are saved. Chains reconnect when source instances load later or in a different order.

Projects saved by earlier versions do not contain this instance metadata. Assign names and sources once, then save again with 1.24.0. Existing parameters and automation remain compatible.

Ressup-EQ 1.23.0 — Res Sup Density

Choose a tag to compare

Ressup-EQ 1.23.0 adds an independent Density knob to Res Sup.

  • Density 0–100%: select the strongest qualifying resonance through up to eight simultaneous peaks, with gradual entry of secondary peaks.
  • The former signed intensity slider is now labeled Res Sup Amount in the editor. Its host automation name, ID and stored values are preserved.
  • Each band saves its own Density. Existing projects open at 100% Density, retaining their previous sound.
  • Threshold selects eligible peaks, Res Sup Q controls their width, and Amount controls direction and strength.

Validation

Mac: nine automated suites, the VST3 SDK validator and Apple’s Audio Unit validator. Linux: audio and editor integration, CLAP validation, and an exact-packaged-binary REAPER load/render check in Ubuntu 22.04 x86-64 userspace under Rosetta. Windows: cross-build plus PE architecture, version, exports and runtime-dependency checks; a native Windows DAW run remains pending.

The Linux GUI screenshot required a retry after an X11 BadMatch under Rosetta; the separate final-file run passed all 13 editor checks. This is recorded in the Linux verification manifest.

Mac binaries are ad-hoc signed and are not notarized. At 48 kHz, Linear reports 8,704 samples at Detail 0 and 17,408 at Detail 1–5; Natural reports 49 and 561 respectively. The host receives the actual latency. For heavy 24-band Linear work at maximum Detail, start with a buffer of 128 samples or more. Very narrow Linear filters have finite resolution, reflected by their displayed response.

Ressup-EQ 1.21.0

Choose a tag to compare

Changes in 1.21.0

  • Sample-accurate VST3 automation, with smooth trim, Mix, Bypass and band changes.
  • Higher-resolution symmetric Linear FIR and curves that display its actual finite response.
  • Symmetric Natural oversampling and the original, latency-aligned dry signal at Mix 0%.
  • Correct output loudness metering through Bypass and guarded LU MATCH transient compensation.
  • Separate Res Sup corrections for close, resolved peaks, with fast transient tracking retained.
  • Improved instance-control exchange under brief contention.

Saved parameter IDs and state format remain compatible. Corrected Linear and Natural responses can sound different from earlier releases; their host-reported latencies have changed.

Downloads

  • macOS Apple Silicon: VST3 and Audio Unit, macOS 14 or later.
  • Windows x64: VST3, Windows 10/11.
  • Linux x86-64: CLAP with the custom editor, glibc 2.35+ and X11/XWayland.

Exactly four binary packages plus SHA256SUMS.txt. Packages contain compiled plug-ins and accompanying licenses, with installation information and verification metadata where applicable.

Latency and heavy configurations

At 48 kHz, Linear reports 8,704 samples at Detail 0 and 17,408 at Detail 1–5. Natural reports 49 samples at Detail 0 and 561 at Detail 1–5. Delay compensation uses the latency reported to the host.

Use 128 samples or more for heavy 24-band Linear configurations at maximum Detail. One 64-sample macOS stress case recorded a missed deadline; all tested 128-sample cases completed without one. Very narrow Linear filters remain finite-FIR approximations and their displayed curves reflect that response.

Validation

macOS: all nine automated test suites, the VST3 SDK validator, Apple's Audio Unit validator and audio-quality sanitizer tests. The macOS packages match the verified 1.21.0 build installed on the development Mac.

Linux: audio and editor integration tests, the CLAP validator and an exact-packaged-binary REAPER load/render check in an isolated Ubuntu 22.04 x86-64 userspace running under Rosetta on this Mac. Windows x64: cross-build, PE architecture, version, exports and runtime-dependency checks; a native Windows DAW run was not performed.

Linux GUI verification passed all 13 checks on an 8192×4608 virtual desktop. An initial screenshot attempt on a smaller Xvfb desktop failed with X11 BadMatch under Rosetta; this VM test limitation is recorded in the Linux verification manifest.

macOS binaries are ad-hoc signed and are not notarized.
