Bug Fixes

  • 'o' command: Fixed cursor jumping 2 rows instead of 1 when opening new line below
  • 'a' command: Fixed cursor jumping to next line when at end of line
  • Escape key: Fixed cursor jumping up a row when pressing Esc at beginning of line in insert mode
  • macOS: UI now shows "Option" instead of "Alt" for keyboard shortcuts

New Features

  • W motion: Jump to next WORD (whitespace-separated)
  • B motion: Jump to previous WORD start (whitespace-separated)

Installation

Download VimNote-0.2.1-macos.zip, extract, and drag VimNote.app to Applications.

Architecture

  • Complete modular refactor with separate components for buffer, cursor, vim mode, and operations

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed cursor rendering bug where visual cursor got stuck on empty lines
  • Fixed redo logic that was checking the wrong field
