Wealthos Local is the desktop edition of Wealthos: a personal wealth tracker and financial forecaster that runs entirely on your own Mac.
Your data lives as plain files in a folder you choose. There's no account to create, no server to sign in to, and nothing is sent anywhere. The app works with the network switched off.
What's in it
See where you stand
- Track every account — current, savings, investments, pensions, property, crypto — with a running net-worth total
- Multi-currency, converted into the currency you think in
- Income and expenses, and the monthly surplus that falls out of them
- Custom wealth metrics with AI-assisted formulas (runway, savings rate, time-to-goal, or whatever you actually care about)
Plan what's coming
- Financial plans broken into line items, with reference amounts and monthly targets
- Plan templates for recurring situations — a house purchase, a wedding, a sabbatical
- Goals with live progress tracking, promotable straight from a plan
Forecast the years ahead
- Put life events on one timeline — a trip, a car, a wedding, a house deposit — each with its own date and budget
- Compare alternative scenarios side by side and see which path holds
- Edit a plan's line items inside a scenario without disturbing the original
- Save the simulations worth keeping
Your AI, on your machine
Wealthos Local runs its own MCP server, so Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other MCP clients can work with your finances directly — reading balances, adding entries, building plans, running forecasts.
46 tools covering accounts, categories, income, expenses, goals, plans, plan templates, wealth metrics, forecasts and currency preferences.
It runs as a local process on your Mac. There is no server it connects to and no password it could leak. Settings gives you a ready-to-paste config with your paths already filled in.
Install
- Download
Wealthos-macOS.dmgbelow - Open it and drag Wealthos to Applications
- Launch it and pick a folder for your data
Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 12 (Monterey) or later.
Signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens on a normal double-click — no right-click workaround, no security warnings.
Trial and licence
Every install starts with a 7-day free trial of everything. No card, no sign-up.
After the trial the app becomes read-only — your data stays exactly where it is and remains fully readable and exportable; you just can't add or edit until you license it. A licence is a one-time purchase (no subscription, no renewal) covering up to 3 devices, with free updates within a year.
A note on privacy
This isn't a cloud product with a local mode bolted on. There is no account system, no telemetry, and no sync. The files in your folder are the database — readable, backup-able, and yours. If you delete the app tomorrow, your data is still sitting there in plain files.
Windows and Linux builds compile but have not been runtime-verified yet, so this release is macOS only.
