I actually don't remember any flickering with using a chroot + linux build, i can try connecting a different android device to my linux pc as the pipe and see if it also exhibits similar issues. (unfortunately i am not home atm so i cant test yet) My phone would also exhibit moderate to major graphical glitching in termux-x11 if i didn't start x11 with some legacy flags, so perhaps its just an unfortunate issue with Mali GPUs. There might also be some developer settings I can tweak in android regarding refresh rate and/or vsync that might affect Vanilla. |

The latest code has Android MediaCodec hardware decoding implemented, when you tested earlier it was only software decoding. My guess is it would be related to that, but you can test by disabling hardware decoding in the settings menu and seeing if it still flickers. If it indeed only flickers with hardware decoding, it would be interesting to see if anything gets printed in the logs. |

Actually I think I might have solved the flickering in 55fb0af. Feel free to give it a try. |
