Much lighter.

  • ~0.3% CPU and ~20 MB when idle (was up to 30% CPU and 360 MB after running for a while), with no idle wake-ups
  • Expensive readings (GPU, temperatures, fans, per-app usage) only run while you're looking, or when the menu bar shows them
  • The dashboard window now exists only while it's open

Fixes

  • Disk space and non-CPU/GPU sensors stopped updating after an hour
  • Fans stopped by macOS at idle showed as "Manual"
  • Open dashboard left the panel stuck open

Install: unzip, drag Sonar.app into Applications (replace the old one), and open it. Sonar isn't notarized, so the first time macOS will block it: go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway.

Requires macOS 14+ on Apple silicon.
