WPMediaVerse 1.7.0 - media grid performance and QA fixes
Performance and reliability release. No database schema change.
- Improve - Media grid render cut from about 170 database queries per page to about 6 by prefetching media meta and access rules before the grid loop.
- Improve - Grid and feed thumbnails now honor the configured thumbnail size, and the default is now medium instead of large.
- Fix - Updating a media item's categories no longer silently drops them on a persistent object cache miss; the editable media REST route now declares its real fields.
- Fix - Posterless videos now show the bundled default poster in grids and REST responses instead of a blank tile.
- Fix - Private media now records an activity row so it appears in the owner's own activity, still privacy gated for everyone else.
- Improve - Public media served from the local driver now sends a stable URL with Cache-Control public headers so browsers and CDNs can cache it; private media stays no-store.
- Dev - The mvs_notification_created action now passes the rendered message and link, keeping BuddyNext and other listeners in sync.
- Dev - New filters mvs_stable_public_urls, mvs_public_media_max_age, mvs_public_local_file_url, mvs_public_local_thumbnail_url. New Site Health test for missing video posters. The mvs_thumbnail_size default changes from large to medium.
- Compat - Pairs with WPMediaVerse Pro 1.7.0. Install both updates together: https://github.com/vapvarun/wpmediaverse-pro/releases/tag/1.7.0
