Promptbook 0.1.11
Fixes
- The cursor no longer jumps into or past
[Image #N]tokens — typing just left of one pushes it along like a single character, and inserting an image leaves the cursor right after it - ⌘C with nothing selected now cuts the whole line: the line lands on your clipboard and is removed from the note
- Click a file's yellow star to unstar it
- Long window titles now shorten with an ellipsis instead of running under the titlebar buttons
- The minimize and restore chevrons are now the same size
- Remote browser: one terminal scrollbar instead of two, no stray scrollbar in the tab strip, and long tab titles truncate with an ellipsis
Promptbook 0.1.10
Fix
- The rename field in the Files list is readable again while the row is selected — no more white-on-white text.
Promptbook 0.1.9
Remote file browsing, both directions
- Folders in the Files list can now be opened and closed from the web and iOS apps, and their open state shows in the row.
Fixes
- Starring a file no longer stars its containing folder — the star lands exactly where you clicked.
Promptbook 0.1.8
Faster, smarter notes
- Typing is dramatically more responsive — saves no longer block every keystroke.
- Images dropped into a note always become a compact [Image #X] chip; chips act as a single unit, survive copy, cut, and paste, and expand to real file paths when sent or dragged to a terminal running codex or claude.
- ⌘↩ opens a new line below the current one. Double-click selects just the word. The last lines of long files always render, and keyboard scrolling no longer flashes.
Files
- Star files and folders to pin them to the top of the Files list.
- Rename files and delete notes from the right-click menu. Clicks highlight instantly.
Fresh look
- A new app icon: the terminal caret and the note, everywhere — Mac, iOS, and the web.
Under the hood
- Remote sharing now authorizes its connection without placing your session token in request URLs.
Promptbook 0.1.7
PromptBook for Mac 0.1.7.
- Check for Updates — PromptBook now looks for new versions about once a day and only speaks up when one is available. Turn it off, or check by hand, in Settings (⌘,) or the PromptBook menu.
- Image attachments open as a small thumbnail; click the thumbnail to see the image full size, or click away to dismiss it.
- New install options — a one-line installer and a Homebrew cask, alongside the disk image.
Requires macOS 13 or later. Signed with a Developer ID certificate and notarized by Apple.
