OAR 0.3.11

  • Prevent accidental duplicate location saves: check current saved coordinates before saving, block overlapping saves, and require explicit confirmation to create a duplicate. Cancel is the default.
  • Confirmation dialogs support Enter/Space on the default button and normal keyboard navigation to Confirm.
  • Display the saved profile photo in the top-right circle, including immediate upload/removal updates and restoration after sign-in.
  • Automatically hide notifications within six seconds; ordinary status toasts still last four seconds. Completed update checks no longer leave a persistent notification. Hiding progress does not cancel a consented update; Check for updates can reopen the notice.
  • Fit the Sources YAML editor inside Settings. Wrap text without a horizontal scrollbar, show muted line numbers aligned with wrapped lines, and use the main panel's thin, themed scrollbar only while scrolling. Hide the outer Settings scrollbar without disabling scrolling on other tabs.
  • Arrange theme color controls in a compact, thin-bordered three-column grid at normal Settings width, adapting on smaller screens.

Packages and installation

Linux x64 AppImage and tar.gz archive, SHA-256 checksums, and latest-linux.yml updater metadata are included. Existing local data is preserved. Close the older application before launching the downloaded AppImage; make it executable if necessary.

Linux AppImage 0.3.10 users can choose Callsign → Check for updates. Older versions and tar installations require manual installation. No new Windows/macOS packages were built or tested for this release; the previously published Windows 0.3.10 package does not contain these fixes. Signing/notarization and target-platform update testing remain outstanding. Android remains blocked pending a genuinely JDK-free approach; iOS is unfinished. No Java, JDK or .NET tooling was used.

Validation

41 automated tests, 16 browser tests, and three packaged Linux smoke suites passed (desktop persistence/backup, guidance, and updater/source recovery/licenses). Updater state-machine and notification tests include simulated events; these alone do not prove a live install/restart upgrade.

Source includes the latest upstream Windows-related changes, merged before this release. Third-party licenses remain applicable; OAR is free for noncommercial use, with modifications/commercial use requiring Chris Visser's written permission.

macOS Apple Silicon (ARM64) manual-install build

DMG, ZIP, blockmaps and macOS SHA-256 checksums are attached. Built on macOS 26.5.2. Not Developer ID signed or notarized; Gatekeeper may block launch. Intel Macs are not included. No macOS automatic-update metadata is published.

Validation: 41/41 unit tests, packaged desktop smoke and guidance smoke passed; DMG/ZIP integrity verified. Extended release-ten smoke did not pass: after resolving the temporary-path alias, opening bundled Chromium license notices failed. DMG installation and automatic updates remain untested. Default Electron app icon.
