Use Cases

When TLS is enabled in Redis as minimum CA cert is supposed to be send to the server for encrypted connection or the connection will fail.

I believe this is essentially asking us to allow the TLS options, in particular the root certificate to be configurable for this sink. Unfortunately the redis crate we use doesn't seem to provide this option. This issue redis-rs/redis-rs#463 is tracking it.

A workaround was provided in that issue, which I have tried to implement for tokio, but it doesn't seem to work when using ConnectionManager, which I believe we would need to use to ensure we maintained a connection to the server.

Another option could be to change the sink to use https://crates.io/crates/redis-async instead.
