Fitbit Web API deprecation

It seems that Fitbit Web APIs are being deprecated in September and we can no longer create an app through https://dev.fitbit.com/apps/new.

The Fitbit Web APIs are moving to a new, scalable infrastructure. We will be deprecating the legacy Fitbit Web API in September 2026. I will check the migration docs, see migration is quick or another option would be, archive this project and looks/create alternative CLI for unified "Google Health CLI",

I’m going to close this issue because I’ve decided not to migrate fitbit-cli from the legacy Fitbit Web API to the Google Health API. As noted in the README, this project will stay in maintenance mode until the Fitbit Web API is decommissioned, and it may be archived after that.

For anyone looking for a Google Health API-based CLI, google-health-cli may be worth checking out. I have not used or reviewed that project, so this is not an endorsement, just a pointer to a potentially relevant alternative.
