New Features

  • Kids content now plays! A new Mobile Web playback source handles videos the fast source can't open, including kids content
  • Smarter search: live suggestions as you type, plus recent searches under the search bar (swipe to delete)
  • Auto playback source: picks the fastest source and silently falls back if a video fails to start
  • Auto theme: follows system dark mode on iOS 13+, custom schedule on iOS 12
  • Cleaner fullscreen: status bar hides during fullscreen playback (Settings toggle to keep it)

Bug Fixes

  • Videos played by autoplay now correctly appear in your YouTube watch history
  • Commenter avatars now load; anyone without one gets a colored monogram instead of an empty circle

  • Auto playback source now applies after updating (previously stayed on Android VR if you'd ever opened the source picker)
  • Added detailed logging around sign-in token refresh to diagnose the auto-logout issue (#12) — if it hits you, please use Settings → Share Debug Log

  • Sign releases with a fixed application-identifier
  • Note for jailbreak (AppSync) users: this update will ask you to sign in one more time. That's a one-time change that permanently fixes login persistence (#12) — future updates will keep your session.
