@workflow/core@5.0.0-beta.54

  • #4168 97dccc9 @shalabhc - Add an optional invoke method and capability to the World interface. It routes a payload to the runner handling the specified runId and returns a promise for its response. In world-postgres, this uses a regular queue roundtrip with a run-scoped queue. The runtime uses invoke when available, initially to resume hooks.
  • #3678 20ad2b3 @TooTallNate - Add registerLifecycleHooks from workflow/api for best-effort completion and failure reporting with a read-free workflow name, lazy Run instance, and failure cause hydrated from the persisted payload. Run metadata getters avoid resolving input/output payloads.
  • #4213 d3ea4a6 @VaguelySerious - Fix an issue with the workflow's deterministic clock tracking advancement on consumption, not on write, which could lead to a determinism issue when concurrent replays called Date.now with different amounts of events read from the log
  • #4215 f75b184 @gaojude - Order hook registration and conflict settlements with earlier workflow deliveries so replay preserves concurrent step correlation IDs.
  • #4082 6c0d510 @shalabhc - Validate complete attribute event data against the World's 8KiB UTF-8 JSON limit before new writes, with catchable SDK errors and unchanged replay of persisted events.

@workflow/world@5.0.0-beta.37

@workflow/world-local@5.0.0-beta.46

@workflow/world-postgres@5.0.0-beta.45

  • #4219 b27395f @AndrewBarba - Allow same-run queue wakes to reach a workflow while an inline step is pending, so hook-driven cancellation and steering do not wait for the step to finish.

@workflow/world-vercel@5.0.0-beta.49

  • #4082 6c0d510 @shalabhc - Validate complete attribute event data against the World's 8KiB UTF-8 JSON limit before new writes, with catchable SDK errors and unchanged replay of persisted events.

@workflow/web@5.0.0-beta.54

  • #4250 7840c15 @karthikscale3 - Align run and event status colors with Workflow Observability and show a cancelled run's reason in a tooltip on its top status.
  • #4271 6c1b1e8 @mitul-s - Fix the --ds-* colour tokens in the web UI. packages/web/app/globals.css redefined about 27 of them with unrelated values that shadowed the ones it imports from @workflow/web-shared, so text-pink-600 rendered a different palette than the text-blue-600 next to it. Its prefers-color-scheme: dark rule also carried a stale palette on a selector that out-specified .dark, which meant a dark-mode browser got those values whatever theme the user had picked.
  • #4272 f160d64 @mitul-s - Use a single Geist tooltip everywhere in the observability UI. @workflow/web-shared now exports Tooltip, TooltipTrigger, TooltipContent, and TooltipProvider, and @workflow/web consumes them instead of its own shadcn copy, so every tooltip matches the one used by the trace detail panel's "Navigate up"/"Navigate down" controls.

@workflow/builders@5.0.0-beta.54

  • #3695 5a05f40 @VaguelySerious - Honour config.externalPackages in the combined and webhook esbuild passes, so a step that reaches an optional peer dependency no longer fails the build.

@workflow/errors@5.0.0-beta.22

@workflow/nest@5.0.0-beta.54

  • #3695 5a05f40 @VaguelySerious - Preserve raw request and response bytes on the workflow routes, serve GET/HEAD/OPTIONS on the flow route, adopt setGlobalPrefix() for generated URLs, add forRootAsync, basePath, manageWorldLifecycle and preloadBundles, and fail startup when skipBuild is set without pre-built bundles.
  • #4206 426bdb6 @pranaygp - Document that preloadBundles defaults to false on Vercel.
  • #4208 f1f5b7d @e0-gh-vercel-connect - Prevent HTTP requests from invoking the NestJS workflow queue consumer.

@workflow/vitest@5.0.0-beta.54

  • #4267 4fdbc43 @VaguelySerious - Emit the workflow manifest next to the test bundles and add getWorkflowRef() / listWorkflowRefs() so tests can name a workflow instead of hand-writing its generated id. The test build also fails up front when @workflow/vitest and the app resolve incompatible @workflow/core versions.
