Release list
Azure Diagram Studio 0.2.0 for Windows
Azure Diagram Studio 0.2.0 for Windows
Final stable Windows portable release with separate ARM64 and x64 downloads.
Unsigned executables (NotSigned). Windows or organizational policy may warn or block execution. Follow your organization's approval process; do not disable protections. Stable/latest distribution metadata is not a platform-certification claim.
Changes
- Help with ordered first-use callouts; component quick delete and larger connection handles.
- Escape cancels editing gestures; right-click quick actions and corrected tooltips.
- Temporary five-color Present ink with freehand, rectangle, ellipse and arrow tools.
- Eleven guided starters, saved Markdown descriptions, sanitized Edit/Preview and a resizable/collapsible sidebar, including Present.
- Fixed deliberate fullscreen entry for the trusted app main frame. Automatic fullscreen and all other permissions remain denied; sandbox and existing protections are unchanged.
Downloads And Source
Exact source: 7783b384e5a46160bdd340112c924f019e0c7830, annotated tag windows-v0.2.0. Automatic source archives contain that committed source; no candidate source ZIP is attached. Both packages contain Electron 44.0.0. Hashes identify these artifacts, not a claim of bit-for-bit reproducible builds.
Automated Qualification And Limits
Both exact EXEs passed independent automated checks: ten general groups, three sessions/eight downloads and eight accepted targeted checkpoints per architecture, plus the affected actual fullscreen/sidebar/ink/exit-restoration/Escape/next-edit Undo phase. ARM64 ran natively on Windows ARM64/Snapdragon; x64 ran under Windows ARM64 emulation, not on native Intel/AMD hardware. The approved repair passed 55 desktop tests. Unchanged DGM-124 source evidence (52 focused tests, typechecks/build, 51 browser groups) is dated reuse, not a new publication rerun. Original failures and harness/setup corrections remain retained in local evidence.
Not run: native Intel/AMD qualification, human/native dialogs or IME/clipboard acceptance, SmartScreen/MOTW/organizational-policy qualification, physical offline, Mac, Teams/Office, novice and additional-device trials. Responsive/offline simulation is not physical-device acceptance. No signing or broader platform certification is implied.
Keep Your Diagrams
Export JSON backups before changing versions. Browser and desktop storage are separate; autosave is not a portable backup. There is no automatic profile migration. Older applications may drop the description when resaving: retain your original JSON backups. Existing older releases remain unchanged.
Azure Diagram Studio 0.2.0 ARM64 candidate
Windows ARM64 unsigned candidate
Download Azure-Diagram-Studio-0.2.0-win-arm64-portable.exe for Windows on ARM/Snapdragon. This 0.2.0 prerelease is unsigned and is not stable/general platform qualification. There is no Intel/AMD x64 or Mac binary in this release. Follow your organization's policy; do not disable protections.
Source provenance warning: Tag anchors remote base a835c23 ONLY. The attached source candidate ZIP is authoritative. GitHub automatic source archives do not include the working-tree candidate. No source branch was pushed. The local candidate is base HEAD a523a7e4feca5148d1a1a28fc34e97d28c82d1d6 plus uncommitted changes, not a build from the tag commit.
Bounded evidence
Retained independent native checks: 10 groups, 3 sessions, 8 downloads, Electron 44.0.0 ARM64 on Windows 11 Enterprise 10.0.26300 / Snapdragon X. Prior current-source authority: 5,488 tests across 36 files; separately, 33 shell/policy checks. These scopes do not imply that every source test ran against the packaged runtime. Exact verified renderer build reused; later runner-only fixes did not rebuild the payload. Original failures remain retained locally. No new qualification was run just to prepare this release.
Integrity
Executable SHA256: 2ae7d752b5d8fd17766912521d3b74efe7393150d44a1ffd3a534a8f20a066df.
After download, compare Get-FileHash .\Azure-Diagram-Studio-0.2.0-win-arm64-portable.exe -Algorithm SHA256 with that digest and the attached SHA256SUMS.txt. The three checksum lines cover the EXE, authoritative source ZIP and SOURCE-PROVENANCE.json, not the checksum file itself. The public provenance includes the source per-file inventory and ZIP digest. A source snapshot plus pinned lockfile preserves source inputs; bit-for-bit rebuild reproducibility is not claimed.
Persistence And Limits
Autosave lives in your Windows profile, not beside or inside the executable. Use Save JSON for portable backups.
Still BLOCKED/unqualified: Physical offline cold launch/relaunch (only CDP offline emulation tested); Downloaded-file MOTW/SmartScreen and managed-device policy acceptance; Human native dialogs, cancellation/denial, IME and clipboard; Teams/Office recipient fidelity and novice usability; Physical 200% zoom/touch; Native Intel/AMD x64, macOS and other browser/platform qualification. CDP offline emulation is not physical disconnection. A local unsigned launch is not downloaded-file SmartScreen acceptance. No signing, other-platform support, or future lifecycle promise is implied.
Azure Diagram Studio v0.1.0
Portable Azure Diagram Studio for Windows, including its Chromium runtime, fonts, icons and layout worker. No Node.js installation, local server or cloud sign-in is required.
Choose ARM64 for Windows on ARM/Snapdragon, or x64 for Intel/AMD. ARM64 was independently exercised natively; x64 was exercised under Windows ARM64 emulation, not on native Intel/AMD hardware.
Includes safe custom SVG/PNG/JPEG/GIF/WebP imports (normalized embedded PNG; GIF first frame), 17 original vendor integration badges, 14 Microsoft app identities (five official architecture glyphs and nine explicitly labelled badges), light/dark themes, JSON backup/open, and SVG/PNG exports. Four editable synthetic examples and the short manual are in the README.
Both portable executables passed offline launch, bundled-worker layout, custom image import, exports, autosave/relaunch, moved-executable and theme persistence checks. Source/browser suites and independent packaged checks are recorded locally. Native save-dialog appearance, SmartScreen UX, PowerPoint fidelity and novice usability are separate manual checks.
These builds are unsigned and may trigger SmartScreen. Verify SHA256SUMS.txt and follow your organization's policy; do not disable protections. Autosave lives in your Windows profile, not inside the EXE: use Save JSON for transferable backups. The files are approximately 403-404 MB because portable compression is store-only; this does not require a runtime download.
