Start Wrench

Start Wrench is a small Windows desktop app for launching configured programs and cleaning up background processes before gaming.

Highlights

• Added a Starter tab with configurable program entries, running/stopped status dots, and start buttons.
• Added GUI-based Add program and Remove actions for managing the Starter list.
• Added an Analyzer tab that scans running background processes and recommends apps that can be ended to free up RAM and CPU.
• Added End and End all recommended actions for recommended Analyzer process groups, with confirmation and process revalidation.
• Added customizable Analyzer rules through config.json.
• Added local user configuration through programs.json; the file is generated automatically if missing and is not overwritten by updates.
• Added support for launch-only files/scripts such as AutoHotkey scripts via Windows file association behavior.
• Added a dark Start Wrench UI theme, logo, and Windows icon handling.
• Added a GitHub Actions release workflow that builds and attaches Start-Wrench-windows.zip.
