Gromaq v0.2.0
Gromaq v0.2.0 is a public alpha/beta terminal foundation release for early
adopters on supported macOS and Linux systems. It is installable, packaged, and
proofed for the release surfaces below, but it is not a v1.0 daily-driver
stability claim.
What Changed
- Native Rust terminal foundation using
winit,wgpu, real PTYs, parser
state, scrollback, selection/copy, clipboard boundaries, themes, font
rasterization, GPU smokes, and runtime proof helpers. - Public installer and package paths for source install, Linux release tarball
install, Debian packages, Arch source-package metadata, and macOS app zips. - Concise public README with detailed proof ledgers moved to versioned
documentation. - Repository readiness updates for issue templates, pull request template,
Dependabot, branch protection, and release policy checks.

Checksums And Security
The Linux release installer verifies the downloaded tarball against
SHA256SUMS-linux-x86_64 by default. macOS app artifacts are published with
SHA256SUMS-macos-app.

Known Limitations
- Not a v1.0 stability release and not a complete daily-driver claim.
- Developer ID signing and notarization for macOS are not completed.
- Accepted live desktop screenshot proof is still missing.
- Hardware-backed 144 Hz proof still requires a 144 Hz-capable display.
- Broader host compatibility, live desktop menu workflows, and OS paste-menu
workflows need more proof.
