Prune 1.6.2
Pre-release
Pre-release
Beta. Becomes stable once it meets the stability criteria. For everyday use, prefer the latest stable version.
The website now explains better why macOS asks before opening Prune the first time, and how to check the app for yourself. The app does not change.
Install
- Download Prune-1.6.2.dmg (under Assets) and drag Prune to Applications.
- On first launch, allow it in System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Open Anyway, or in Terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Prune.app - Follow the Full Disk Access assistant.
Verify the file: shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS in the folder where you downloaded both files.
macOS 14 or later · Apple silicon and Intel. The interface follows the system language (English or Portuguese).
Changed
- The website's answer on why macOS blocks Prune explains that it is an open-source project without Apple notarization, and how to read the code, check your download and build the app yourself.
