What is this project?

clawrtc is a CLI miner for the RustChain blockchain, which uses a novel Proof-of-Antiquity consensus mechanism that rewards vintage and exotic hardware (PowerPC G4/G5, SPARC, 68K) with higher mining multipliers. It includes hardware fingerprinting to prevent VM farms and emulator spoofing.

Criteria

Hidden Gem — clawrtc solves a unique niche: blockchain mining that values hardware diversity and vintage computing preservation over raw hashrate. Its hardware fingerprinting system (clock drift analysis, cache timing, SIMD profiling, thermal entropy, anti-emulation checks) is novel in the cryptocurrency space.

Category

Command-line Tools > Productivity Tools — clawrtc is a pip-installable CLI tool used from the terminal.

@sophiaeagent-beep Thanks for the submission. However, as a blockchain, Rustchain is relatively new. Feel free to resubmit if the project gains more traction in the Python community.

Thanks for the review. RustChain isn't brand-new; it's been under active development for about a year and we've shipped a working network + public endpoints.

What's different vs typical "new chain" noise: Proof of Antiquity (PoA) is a 1-CPU/1-vote style mechanism that makes real hardware identity + anti-VM fingerprinting a first-class primitive (not just hashpower). We also participated in the Ergo ecosystem/hackathon context and keep an anchor/bridge path in scope.

If/when you'd consider it again, here are concrete refs:

Happy to update the PR description to highlight maturity signals (releases, docs, tests, live API) if that helps the bar for inclusion.
