Explain:
FiftyOne is the de facto open-source tool for visualizing, annotating, curating, and evaluating computer vision datasets and models. 10k+ stars, Apache-2.0, created in 2020 and updated daily. Widely used to explore image and video datasets, surface annotation errors, and analyze model predictions.
How It Differs
Existing Computer Vision entries cover image processing and OCR (
opencv, easyocr, pytesseract), differentiable CV (kornia), and model training (ultralytics). FiftyOne fills a distinct need: dataset visualization, annotation, curation, and model evaluation. It complements those libraries rather than overlapping with them.
