Querybara 0.1.5

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 06 Oct 03:28
e6cb2ff

Querybara is a desktop database manager for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis and
Elasticsearch, with a command-line tool on the same engine.

New in 0.1.5

  • Redis Cluster behind NAT, Docker or Kubernetes. Cluster nodes in these setups advertise
internal addresses (such as 192.168.x.x:6379 pod IPs) that your computer can't reach.
Tick Reach nodes through the seed addresses under the seed list, and list a reachable
address of every node as a seed (for example each NodePort). Querybara asks each seed which
node it is on every connect and reaches that node through the seed, so the connection keeps
working after pods restart with new IPs. Nodes still show under their own addresses in the
    node list and topology view.
  • No more endless "connecting" to a cluster. When the seeds answer but the nodes they
announce can't be reached, connecting now fails within the connect timeout. The error names
the unreachable nodes and points to the new option.

Downloads

  • macOS (Apple silicon and Intel): Querybara-0.1.5-universal.dmg, signed and notarised.
  • Windows: Querybara-Setup-0.1.5.exe, or the MSI and zip for x64 and arm64. The
installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn: choose
More info → Run anyway. Querybara on Windows does not update itself yet, so download
and install this version over the old one.
  • Linux: AppImage, .deb and .rpm for x64 and arm64.

Checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt. A software bill of materials and third-party notices are
attached.

Querybara 0.1.4

@github-actions github-actions released this 05 Oct 11:49
cced8b3

Querybara is a desktop database manager for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis and
Elasticsearch, with a command-line tool on the same engine.

New in 0.1.4

  • Import and export connections. The Connection actions menu (⋮ at the top of the
Connections side bar) and the command palette have Import connections… and
    Export connections….
    • Export writes the connections you tick, with their folders, to a file encrypted with a
passphrase (AES-256-GCM). Tick Include saved passwords to carry the passwords saved on
this computer too. Open the file in Querybara on another computer, or with
      querybara profiles import.
    • Import reads that file, or an .ncx file exported from Navicat
(File → Export Connections). It lists every connection with its address and saved
passwords, and imports only the ones you tick. Connections you already have show Exists
and are left alone unless you tick Replace.
  • Connections from Navicat. MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis connections come
over with their host and port or socket file, user, initial database, SSL and SSH settings,
and saved passwords (from Navicat 11 and later), which go into the OS keychain. Other
connection types are listed as not imported. An HTTP tunnel is left out, with a note on that
connection. The command line takes the same files: querybara profiles import connections.ncx.
  • Connection errors can be dismissed. A connection that fails to open shows why under it in
the side bar, with a × to clear it. The error is no longer repeated at the top of the side bar.
  • Smaller touches. The Compare menu has icons, and Disconnect and
Close all connections are in the warning colour.
  • Autocomplete fix. An unclosed quote after JOIN no longer offers a table with no name.

Querybara 0.1.3

@github-actions github-actions released this 05 Oct 10:10
3fb0d06

Querybara is a desktop database manager for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis and
Elasticsearch, with a command-line tool on the same engine.

New in 0.1.3

  • MongoDB 4.2 works again. Querybara 0.1.2 could not connect to MongoDB 4.2 ("requires at
least MongoDB 4.4"). 0.1.3 connects to MongoDB 4.2 and later.
  • Saving edited documents works on MongoDB 4.2. Querybara still checks that nobody changed
the document since you opened it.
  • SQL queries return the right results on MongoDB 4.2. Columns renamed with AS and
constant values in the select list now come back filled in, and COUNT, SUM and the other
aggregates without GROUP BY, as well as joins with extra conditions in ON, now run. A
SELECT with an alias or a value now translates to an aggregate() rather than a find().

Querybara 0.1.2

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Oct 23:01

Querybara is a desktop database manager for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis and
Elasticsearch, with a command-line tool on the same engine.

New in 0.1.2

  • Saved passwords from 0.1.0 stay saved. On macOS and Linux, Querybara can't open passwords
that 0.1.0 saved under its old name. 0.1.1 asked for them on every connect; 0.1.2 asks once,
then saves the password in the keychain again, so scheduled runs work too.

bc9f5aa

Querybara is a desktop database manager for PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis and
Elasticsearch, with a command-line tool on the same engine.

New in 0.1.1

  • A new name and icon. The app is now Querybara, with the capybara icon, at
    querybara.com.
  • Coming from 0.1.0? On first launch Querybara copies your 0.1.0 data: connections,
folders, history, saved queries, snippets, schedules, known SSH hosts and SSH keys. On macOS
and Linux it asks for each saved password once. Backup archives, ER models and profile
exports made by 0.1.0 do not open in 0.1.1.
  • Backups are now .qbak files, and the command-line tool is querybara.

Downloads

  • macOS (Apple silicon and Intel): Querybara-0.1.1-universal.dmg, signed and notarised.
  • Windows: Querybara-Setup-0.1.1.exe, or the MSI and zip for x64 and arm64. The
installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn: choose
    More info → Run anyway.
  • Linux: AppImage, .deb and .rpm for x64 and arm64.
