Added

• Model auto-detection -- the model: section in role and team YAML is now optional. When omitted, the provider and model are auto-detected from (in priority order): INITRUNNER_MODEL env var, run.yaml from initrunner setup, or API key env vars. Roles can keep a partial model: block with only tuning fields (temperature, max_tokens) and the provider/name are filled in at runtime. All 73 bundled starters no longer hardcode openai:gpt-5-mini -- they work with whatever provider the user configured
• PartialModelConfig schema type -- new YAML-facing model config with optional provider/name. Runtime ModelConfig stays concrete. resolve_role_model() central helper converts partial to concrete before any execution, ingestion, or provider check
• Dashboard default model setting -- new "Default Model" section on the System page. Pick provider/model from the browser, saves to run.yaml. Shows provenance (env var, run.yaml, auto-detected). Reset button returns to auto-detect. Preset names (OpenRouter) are normalized to canonical runtime fields before saving
• Auto-detect badge on agent cards -- agents without a pinned model show a subtle auto pill badge in card, list, and flow canvas views instead of "no model"

Fixed

• Docker command drift -- Docker docs, Dockerfile, compose files, and cloud deploy configs all referenced stale CLI commands (chat, serve, ui) that were removed in v1.45. Updated to use the current surface: run (with --serve, -i, --bot), dashboard, and ingest
• Container default CMD -- Dockerfile now launches the dashboard (dashboard --expose --no-open) instead of printing --help and exiting. docker compose up immediately starts a useful service
• Dashboard port exposure -- Dockerfile exposes port 8100 (dashboard default) alongside 8000 (API server). Compose files standardized to 8100
• INITRUNNER_DASHBOARD_API_KEY env var -- the env var was referenced in docker-compose.cerbos.yml and render.yaml but had no effect. --api-key now reads INITRUNNER_DASHBOARD_API_KEY when the flag is omitted (explicit --api-key still wins)
• Stale deploy configs -- render.yaml and deploy/fly.toml updated from dead ui/--help commands to dashboard --expose --no-open
• Helpdesk starter comment -- usage comment updated from initrunner serve to initrunner run --serve
