✨ What's New

  • Fixed incorrect power readings
    Correctly handles signed 32-bit power values from the battery, preventing false readings like 65459W during charging.

  • Added Modbus error handling
    Safely handles partial or failed Modbus responses to avoid crashes (IndexError).

  • RS485 control mode watchdog
    Automatically checks if the battery is still in Modbus control mode (0x55aa) and reasserts it if overridden by external apps.

🔧 Internal Improvements

  • Modbus reads fallback to last known good value if data is invalid

🐞 Fixed Bugs

  • IndexError caused by out-of-bounds access when battery power read failed
  • Misinterpretation of negative charging values as massive discharge power

⚠️ Known Limitations

  • Currently supports only 1 battery

🎯 Next up: multiple battery support, MQTT interface, and extended monitoring.
