MMBC v0.1.3 — Robustness & Connection Stability

✨ Improvements

  • Added connection reuse with smart backoff to avoid reconnect spam
  • Introduced _safe_read() helper for guarded Modbus reads
  • Improved error handling around register reads and connection failures
  • RS485 control mode is now rechecked every 60 seconds with recovery logic
  • Cleanly resets connection state on shutdown

🧼 Maintenance

  • Removed redundant _connect() calls

This version fixes some stability issues under real-world conditions and ready for longer uptime. Still only tested with 1 battery
