v0.2.0
Keyboard shortcuts
Browser shortcuts work throughout the app, whether the site or the app itself has focus. The full list also lives in Settings, behind the keyboard icon.
| Shortcut | Action |
|---|---|
Ctrl+L |
Focus the address bar |
Ctrl+R or F5 |
Reload the page |
Alt+← / Alt+→ |
Go back / forward |
Ctrl+M |
Mute or unmute sound |
Ctrl++ / Ctrl+- |
Zoom in / out |
Ctrl+0 |
Reset zoom |
F11 |
Toggle full screen |
Esc |
Exit full screen |
Zoom
Zoom each site independently and the app remembers your choice between launches, so you can size the board once and leave it. When a site is zoomed, a magnifier appears in the address bar showing the current level. Click it to snap back to 100%.
Full screen
F11 gives the board the entire screen and tucks the toolbar away. A short reminder shows how to get back out, and both Esc and F11 will do it.
Cookie consent banners
The privacy banner on first visit is now declined for you automatically. This sends a real "reject all" rather than just hiding the popup, so tracking scripts stay blocked and it does not come back.
Right click menu
Right clicking now works where it should. Text fields get cut, copy, paste, and select all, links get copy link address, and it works in the app's own address bar too. Right click dragging on the board to draw arrows is unaffected.
Fixes
- Muting is correctly described as covering both sites, not just Chess.com
- Removed a hidden menu that was quietly intercepting some keyboard shortcuts before the app could handle them
Upgrading from 0.1.0
This version stores its data under a properly named folder. Updating from 0.1.0 means signing in to Chess.com and Lichess once more, and your window size and settings start fresh. This is a one time thing and future updates will carry everything over.
