Fourth release of yt-dlp GUI.
This one is about the app getting stuck at startup. If your AppData folder is slow or redirected somewhere (OneDrive, a network drive) or an antivirus is in the way, the window could just never show up, and there was no way to tell what was going on. Not anymore: if the window doesn't appear within 15 seconds, a popup shows up saying what's probably wrong and where the logs are, instead of the app sitting as a silent process you can't explain.
Also, saving your queue and settings used to happen right on the main thread, so a hung filesystem could freeze the app while it wrote. Those writes now run in the background with a timeout, so a slow disk can't block anything. And startup now logs checkpoints to the log file, which makes diagnosing a hang much easier if you ever hit one.
Everything else stays the same: paste a link, pick the quality, and download.
On 2026.08.30 or older, the app will update itself to this build.
