Summary

Vorssaint 3.3.0 records the screen, captures and shares screenshots, and improves
annotation order. Finder and Window Layout gain new tools and refinements, while
setup and the Command Bar make features, feedback and saved searches easier to use.

Added

  • Screen recording with automatic zooms for clicks and typing, reusable presets,
direct copy, and video or GIF export. Off by default.
  • Screenshots can create temporary links for 1, 6 or 24 hours from the preview or
    editor, with clear privacy details.
  • Scrolling screenshots join long pages into one image and stop exactly where
you choose. From Screenshot or the Command Bar. Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • Bug reports and feature ideas can be sent from General or the Command Bar,
with optional technical details shown before sending.
  • A slider for how solid the Dock preview panel looks. Under Switcher, with
Dock Preview on. Thanks to @ruvelro.
  • Window thumbnail capture can pause while chosen apps are in front. Under
    Switcher, thanks to @KDarto.
  • Apps the clipboard history skips, so nothing copied in them is saved. Under
    Clipboard. Thanks to @CSkjolden.
  • A configurable shortcut renames selected files and folders in Finder. It
starts on F2, off by default. Thanks to @Mito450.
  • Copied images can become PNG files with ⌘V in Finder, off by default under
    Clipboard. Thanks to @AsphaltDemon.
  • Separate shortcuts capture the whole screen or reopen your latest screenshot.
Under Screenshot, both off by default. Thanks to @Yahddyyp.
  • A slider makes the Scratchpad background more solid, up to fully opaque.
Under Quick Tools. Thanks to @hash00.

Changed

  • First setup now asks what you want before requesting only the permissions
those choices need. Features remain available later in Settings.
  • The Command Bar can quit, restart, force quit or send an app to the
Uninstaller. Newly installed apps appear when the bar reopens.
  • Screenshot annotations can move forward or backward through the drawing
order, with undo support. Thanks to @hash00.
  • The System panel can open the Mac's full process inspector from its usage
    list. Thanks to @hash00.
  • The Volume Mixer adjusts overall volume directly and can send system sounds
to a separate output. Thanks to @vkplayz0 and @p3P4.
  • Mute microphone now lives in Quick toggles in the menu bar panel. Thanks to
    @AB-boi.
  • The Scratchpad now has a pin that keeps the current note open until you close
    it. Thanks to @hash00.
  • Window Layout's Restore action now steps back through recent placements.
  • App Switcher and Dock Preview now have a Small size that reduces previews and
the space between them. Thanks to @CSkjolden.
  • Selecting an app with no open window in the App Switcher now asks it to open
    one. Thanks to @Yahddyyp.
  • The App Switcher now appears immediately, without a pop-in animation. Thanks
    to @CSkjolden.
  • The clipboard history no longer saves a copy that an app marks as a
password, whatever the other options are set to.
  • The remaining-time menu bar option now lives with Keep Awake session settings
    under Energy. Thanks to @hash00.

Fixed

  • Quit on close now protects every part of an excepted app, including windows
    run through bundled components.
  • Window Layout shortcuts now arrange the active Settings window too. Thanks to
    @vraravam.
  • Menu bar readings now dim with the rest of the bar on displays that are not
    active. Thanks to @JaffryGao.
  • The App Switcher's initial selection no longer loses part of its border when
only two apps are available. Thanks to @WiLuX-Source.
  • CPU and GPU temperatures no longer drop to impossible single-digit readings
when a sensor briefly reports bad data. Thanks to @georgo.
  • The App Switcher no longer adds a blank duplicate for a window on another
    desktop. Thanks to @CSkjolden.
  • App Updates no longer lists Vorssaint itself or versions that need a newer
    macOS. Thanks to @AB-boi.
  • A disabled feature no longer blocks its saved shortcut from being used
    elsewhere. Thanks to @AB-boi.
  • Three-finger middle clicks now stay reliable when macOS initially reads the
press as a secondary click. Thanks to @justareported-blip.
  • The App Switcher no longer stalls when certain apps are open. Thanks to
    @Sirtx.
  • Radial menu submenus now open their action list after creation and keep it
easy to find later. Thanks to @z76k.
  • The radial menu now stays open while the Super Key is held and follows the
pointer until the key is released. Thanks to @AB-boi.
  • The permissions page now explains the App Management access needed before
updating installed apps. Thanks to @AB-boi.
  • The clipboard history no longer drops plain identifier codes when it is set
to skip text that looks sensitive.
  • Picking a window on another desktop now switches over right away, instead of
stalling for a couple of seconds. Thanks to @CSkjolden.
  • The mouse side buttons now go back and forward on keyboard layouts such as
German and French, where they did nothing at all. Thanks to @thomas-goerlich.
  • Extra brightness now holds while you swipe between desktops, instead of
dropping out until the animation ends. Thanks to @stevenyang406.
  • A mouse button set to a shortcut with an arrow or an F key now presses it
everywhere, including the window shortcuts. Thanks to @hash00.
  • A saved search in the Command Bar stays in the list while you type what to
look for after its name. Thanks to @tenbux.
  • Saved Command Bar searches now work with spaces produced by Chinese input
    methods. Thanks to @tingke.
