Ruzu is now available for its first public test drive.
Ruzu is an experimental, open-source Nintendo Switch emulator written in Rust by porting Yuzu with the help of AI coding agents. This first release is for players and developers who want to try the project early, report what works, and help shape what comes next.

What To Expect
This is an early experimental release, not a finished emulator. Some games may boot and play, while others may crash, freeze, run slowly, lose audio, reject input, or display broken graphics. Compatibility can vary significantly between games and hardware.
Your test results matter. Reproducible bug reports, logs, screenshots, performance measurements, and code contributions can all help move Ruzu forward.
Before You Play
- Ruzu does not include Nintendo encryption keys, firmware, games, or other copyrighted Nintendo content.
- Use only games and system files that you have legally obtained and dumped yourself.
- These first binaries are not notarized or commercially code-signed. macOS Gatekeeper or Windows SmartScreen may therefore display a warning.
This is only the starting line. Thanks to everyone testing, contributing, and helping turn an ambitious Rust port into a working emulator.
