Consumer preview

This prerelease adds an octagonal-wheels@0.1.47-preview.0 artefact for consumer validation. It exposes the new octagonal-wheels/path entry point with conservative portable relative-path validation and trusted-root containment helpers. The OW preview also contains the exact byte-view helpers prepared for later binary workflow consumers.

The intended first path consumer is ScrewDriver's restore workflow. That migration remains a separate change so rejection of unsafe paths and compatibility with existing export notes can be reviewed explicitly.

Built from Fancy Kit commit 5b9c9a9 (build: prepare octagonal-wheels consumer preview).

The three scoped-package tarballs are byte-identical to consumer preview .3; they are included so one consumer can pin all Fancy Kit packages to one immutable preview tag.

Validation

• clean npm ci completed with zero reported vulnerabilities
• all package checks, builds, showcase build, and dry-run package inspection passed
• 56 focused scoped-package tests passed
• all 949 octagonal-wheels browser tests passed on Linux
• the OW tarball was installed into an isolated directory and imported through octagonal-wheels/path
• the installed artefact accepted folder/note.md, resolved it below a trusted root, rejected ../escape.md, and reported octagonal-wheels-0.1.47-preview.0
• all attached checksums were generated and verified

Status

These artefacts are for consumer migration only. They are not npm releases. The OW prerelease version will not be promoted to stable until its contracts have been exercised by consumers.
