Consumer preview

This prerelease contains octagonal-wheels@0.1.51-preview.0 for consumer validation of the new lifecycle-aware Screen Wake Lock capability. It does not publish the package to npm and does not change an npm dist-tag.

The package adds the recommended closure-based run() API and an advanced explicit lease for split lifecycles. Overlapping logical leases share a platform sentinel, visibility changes are handled by the manager, and browser services remain injectable for focused tests. The package now also includes updates.md for released and pending user-visible changes.

Built from Fancy Kit commit a54edb9c2926041823f667cefa9385b3b1a53153 (Prepare octagonal-wheels wake-lock preview) in pull request #19.

Validation

• both pull request CI runs passed for the source commit
• the complete workspace gate passed locally
• all 972 octagonal-wheels browser tests passed on Linux, followed by the Node import test
• all workspace type checks, builds, release-tool tests, package dry runs, and packed-consumer checks passed
• focused wake-lock coverage reached 95.62% statements, 85.71% branches, 100% functions, and 100% lines across 15 tests
• the exact tarball was installed in an isolated directory, where its root and wake-lock entry points imported and ran without DOM globals
• package metadata, exports, contents, and checksum were inspected before upload

Consumer gate

The exact tarball from this preview will be installed in the public Fancy Kit Harness. Its automatic real-Obsidian checks will run in a dedicated test Vault, followed by the guided physical mobile wake-lock review. DiffZip integration remains out of this preview.

Platform limits

Automated browser and local real-Obsidian smoke validation has been performed on Linux. Physical screen behaviour, background transitions, and reacquisition still require review on the target mobile device. This preview does not claim Windows or macOS device validation.

Status

This artefact is for consumer validation only. It is not an npm release, it is not latest, and pull request #19 remains a Draft until the real-device review is complete.
