0.1.2

14th July, 2026

Added

  • The guided mobile review now checks whether normal screen-off resumes after the Harness releases its wake-lock lease.
  • Harness reports can now be copied as GitHub-flavoured Markdown with scenario results, lifecycle evidence, Obsidian and Harness versions, and low-entropy device information.

Changed

  • Review mode selects the guided mobile scenario by default.
  • Showcase and Automation modes continue to select only automatic scenarios by default.
  • Explicit scenario selection through data.json remains authoritative.
  • Guided result buttons wrap within narrow mobile viewports.

Safety and interpretation

  • The post-release check records the logical lease count and platform sentinel state before asking for the physical result.
  • A display that remains awake is recorded as a failed check, but is not by itself proof of a wake-lock leak because operating-system power policy can also affect auto-lock.
  • Reports remain local until copied and intentionally omit Vault identity, paths, file data, and credentials.

Install in a dedicated test Vault

Copy the verified Harness bundle and open it in Obsidian

The installer requires Screwdriver. Restore the generated document in a disposable, dedicated test Vault, reload Obsidian, enable Fancy Kit Harness, then run Fancy Kit Harness: Open harness.

Validation

  • built from clean Fancy Kit commit 8381f29d6c5edc9fc4b58f881cac26293febcaa9;
  • both pull request #24 CI runs and both release pull request #25 CI runs completed successfully;
  • all workspace checks, unit tests, lint, builds, package inspections, and release-tool tests completed successfully;
  • the complete local real-Obsidian Harness suite completed successfully on Linux; and
  • all generated SHA256SUMS entries were verified.

Real-device review

  • Install 0.1.2 into a disposable, dedicated test Vault.
  • Confirm that Review mode selects the mobile wake-lock scenario by default.
  • Confirm that the display remains awake while the wake-lock lease is held.
  • Start the post-release check and confirm that normal device screen-off resumes.
  • Complete the background-and-return lifecycle check.
  • Copy the Markdown report and review its device information before posting.
  • Confirm that the guided result buttons remain within the mobile viewport.
  • Confirm that the Harness view does not scroll horizontally.

Automated CI runs on Linux and does not replace the physical mobile review. This release remains a pre-release while that evidence is collected.

Assets

  • fancy-kit-harness-0.1.2-screwdriver.md: the versioned, verified Screwdriver restore document;
  • SOURCE.json: source commit and clean-worktree provenance; and
  • SHA256SUMS: checksums for the generated Harness release files.
