Single tuplet notes

I have a rhythm where I have multiple eighth-triplet-notes, but not in groups of three (see picture). Instead they are separated by other notes and spread across the measure. I know, it's a very unusual rhythm. Is there a better way to notate such a rhythm?
The measure is in the standard 4/4 meter.

I mostly would like to know if there is a way to encode such a rhythm in musicXML. I tried so far to use the standard way of encoding triplets. I can insert the correct duration of the single eighth-triplet notes in <duration>. But as soon as I add a <time-modification> or a <tuplet type="start">, my notation software things that the following two notes are also part of the triplet. But as you can see in my picture, I just want to have one single note as a single triplet-duration note and the next note should be a normal 16th note.

I also tried just setting the <duration>, but then <type> (like quarter or eighth) mismatches the duration. It that case, my notation software displays the measure correctly, but on playback, it plays the length of normal quarter or eighth notes.

I'm glad for any ideas.

I would rather write this rhythm in a precise way, adding ticks so that people have some orientation how to play it.

Yea that's the solution I came up with in the end. Now it looks like this:

Not sure that I like this realization. First of all, you have much more beamlets and zillions of ties, which makes it quite hard to read (additionally, they beamlets are far too long for this dense setting IMHO). Second, you no longer have the five beam groups that you showed originally.
