PaiR 0.39.0

Last release with Beads migration. v0.39.0 is the last PaiR release that can import a Beads project (bd and br trackers, compatible versions). Later releases no longer support it: to migrate, install v0.39.0, import your project, then update to the latest release.

Features

• Multi-agent orchestration (experimental) - an early preview, still being designed and not guaranteed to work end to end yet. A single issue can be handled by a team of Claude sessions that pass the work along automatically: one writes the code, one reviews it, one supervises. You stay in control of the key moment - the merge is a green light you approve or reject - while everything else advances on its own. A control panel and the graph let you watch the team work live. Expect rough edges and try it as a preview, not a finished feature.
• Named sessions you can wire together - open, cable and close sessions right from the CLI. A message can now open a session and cable itself to it, so it starts an agent and gets the reply back automatically.
• Choose your parallel terminal runtime - pick which runtime a session uses, and the terminal now inherits the app's network permission so local network access works from inside it.
• Direct messages between peers - send a DM straight to another peer, with the DM tab hidden when there is no one to talk to.
• Clearer local-network permission on macOS - PaiR now explains why it needs your local network (finding peers, syncing on your LAN, reaching your project servers), so macOS shows a clear one-time permission prompt instead of quietly blocking it.

Bug fixes

• No longer asks for camera/microphone permission on Linux - it was an accidental side effect of audio-output detection, now fixed.
• The terminal keeps its content when reopened in fullscreen after a reload, and connections you create or remove now show up in the graph right away.
